Animation Dimensions Creating Animated Feature Films

Animation Dimensions has announced the launch of a number animated features over the next five years - a live action film called “Aiyyaiyyo Balle Balle”, a Hindi film “Mighty Babies” and two films - Bombay Dogs and The Sea Price for the International markets. Writer Farrukh Dhondhy has joined Animation Dimensions as board director, and is scripting Bombay Dogs and Mighty Babies. Other projects include Pammi and I, Messy Bessy and Wacky Powers, Adventures of Loin and Mona, Potbelly Narayana among others. David Snyder, Director of Brandissimo and former SVP of Walt Disney Television International has joined them as a Creative Advisor for the international projects.
The company had earlier acquired Kathaa Animations, which has done the animation for the Bollywood film Hum Tum. Kathaa Animation founders have joined Animation Dimensions - Prakash Nambiar as Creative Head for IP development, and Mohan Bari as head of Operations. Nambiar tells me that the company plans to create 1 minute mobisodes of these properties, and also create content for the web. [via release and Animation Xpress]
