AtYourPrice.in Gets Funding From Mumbai Angels

By Nikhil Pahwa - Wed 30 Jan 2008 08:53 PM PST

Just when you thought the online travel space was packed to capacity, here’s another one: Atyourprice.in, a distressed inventory travel site has received an undisclosed amount of funding from the Mumbai Angels, reports VC Circle. The site allows users to bid for a flight ticket, a reverse auction model. It’s been founded by Ananth Narasimhan, the founder of travel site Ghumo.com. The angel investors include Praveen Chakravarty (COO, BNP Securities India), Ranjan Kapur, (Chairman, WPP, India), Ashwin Mittal, (CEO, Inditech Solutions) and Sushil Jiwarajka (Chairman, Artheon Ventures). At the time of posting this report, Atyourprice.in had a site under maintenance notice, but this link was working. Currently, they have inventory from Jet Airways, Kingfisher, Indigo and Paramount.

Checked out their site.. the ticket details are only revealed once u cough up money. This looks like a major deterrant. But there will be a segment who will not mind the offer. If they are able to surprise one with rock bottom prices, then atur price will be a sure winner. Indians after all are price warriors.

    An Indian “priceline.com”.
At this time of ever reducing airline ticket prices in India, might be a difficult sell but might be a viable long term player in the industry.

Something wrong with the site though, dosent seem to be working fine

    Cheers

This is a very good site to buy tickets online. They provide very good discount and offers on every tickets and give 5% extra on next booking

Ya, Atyourprice.in is really good and buying tickets online from that site is very convenient. Discount might get their profit down but can make really big userbase
I hope Atyourprice.in will continue for long and will help regular travelers to get down their traveling expenses
