By Nikhil Pahwa - Fri 30 Nov 2007 02:44 AM PST

It appears that a formal announcement of Bharti Telesoft’s (BTSL) acquisition of Bangalore based Jataayu Software is due. As per ET, Jataayu is valued at around $20 million. Jataayu is reported to have a revenue of around $10 million, offering primarily in the WAP platform solutions for mCommerce and mobile entertainment. Jataayu has alliances with Saudi Telecom Company, Verisign, TCS and Ericsson. We’ve known about talks between the companies for months now, and there were rumours of the acquisition having been completed in August, though there’s been no formal announcement. BTSL, in the meantime, has a new CEO. BTSL is a value added services company backed by Bharti Airtel, Sequoia Capital and Cisco. It operates in the same space as OnMobile, One97 Communications and Cellebrum
