BigAdda Plans To Launch IM, Music, Mobile Offerings

By Nikhil Pahwa - Tue 23 Oct 2007 12:13 AM PST

(Originally posted Oct 22) Reliance ADA Group’s social networking portal BigAdda intends to offer an Instant Messenger service to its users, reports the Hindu. Email and Instant Messenger are two services that offer service providers repeat usage to market to advertisers, which is perhaps why Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) India tried to get more hotmail users with personalized email IDs like workaholic.co.in, and gaming portal Zapak offering its users email. BigAdda also plans to launch a music vertical, and begin it’s mobile services with networking, photos and blogging. Joining the contests bandwagon, BigAdda has also signed up director Madhur Bhandarkar to judge user uploaded short films. More here.

its not very clear from the are they planing to introduce an IM Aggregator like meebo or a stand alone IM on ZapakMail Ids . or it will be a Widget from which a publisher can connect with user . any idea ?

its most probably going to be based on the similar lines as GTalk+GMail integration. You can download it and use it as standalong widget or use it with ZapakMail. They are smart enough to use the best usability solution invented by Google and not reinvent the wheel.
