Bindass Has Plans For Mobisodes, Ringtones, Wallpapers

Zarina Mehta, CEO of UTV’s channel Bindass tells Indiantelevision that the channel has tied up with telcos including Idea, BPL and BSNL to air mobisodes of their TV shows. They’ve also got a short code - 59995 - using which people can download wallpapers, ringtones and value added services. Not much of this seems to be up yet - I just SMS’ed BINDASS to 59995 and got the usual offerings - “Jokes, Astro, Cric and LoveGuru”. No ringtones, wallpapers or mobisodes yet.
Bindass also claims to have set up an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), with phone jockeys. They website, lagegi.com (not launched yet), will host user generated content, and the best ones will be featured on their TV show Lagegi. We’d written about the unimpressive Bindass.com yesterday.
