Blinkx Gets Videos From Headlines Today

Video content from Headlines Today will be made available on blinkx, by virtue of a deal that the video search engine has struck with India Today Group Digital (ITGD/Digital Today). Blinkx will host separate channel for Headlines Today. The details of the deal haven’t been disclosed, though the industry norm for video content is for non-exclusive, advertising revenue-share deals, usually without a minimum guarantee. We’re told that we should expect more video content deals from Digital Today, as a part of the India Today groups effort to grow in the online media space. Blinkx has over 220 partners, and (they claim) 18 million hours of indexed video and audio content.
Over the past year, Digital Today has launched a few group publications online - India Today, Business Today, Money Today, Mens Health, among others. There isn’t a website yet for their TV channels Headlines Today or Aaj Tak, though the domains have been bought by them.
