Disney’s India Chief Rajat Jain Quits

By Sahad PV - Tue 27 Mar 2007 05:48 AM PST

Rajat Jain, Walt Disney chief in India, has quit after a three-year stint. Jain launched Disney’s operations in India, which included television, merchandise and licensing, and the digital media. It’s not known where Jain is headed. He was earlier a VP with Sony’s MAX, which he quit in June 2004 to join Disney. Jain, however, will work with Disney International president Andy Bird, till a new appointment is made.

Thanks for the story, but you information’s incorrect. Prior to joining Walt Disney, Rajat Jain wasn’t a VP but an Executive Vice President and Business Head of MAX. Jain is one of the best media professionals in India, and I’ll be keen toknow where he joins next. Do flash that when it happens. Thanks!
