AIM listed DQ Entertainment and Bollywood producer Pritish Nandy Communications have inked a deal to co-produce 6 animation and live action movies in the 3-4 years, with a budget of around $45-50 Million. Pritish Nandy says that “these projects will be based on modern new age animation flicks, Indian mythology-based stories”, adding that they are also “exploring gaming extensions for all platforms to be co-developed with DQE including comic book spin-offs.” [via release]
Last month, DQE had picked up 20 percent stake in French animation co Method films. They’d raised $56 Million from London’s Alternate Investment Market last year. PNC had also signed a five movie deal with Florida based Motion Pixel Corporation (MPC) last may, adds IANS.
