Flytxt Launches India Ops

By Nikhil Pahwa - Sun 20 Jan 2008 11:04 PM PST

Flytxt, a UK based mobile advertising and marketing firm with operations in USA, South Africa and Brazil, has come out of stealth mode in India: they’ve announced the appointment of Sanjit Chatterjee as the company’s Director of Global Sales, based in Delhi. Chatterjee joins from Times Internet (Indiatimes), and has worked previously with Net4India and NIIT. Flytxt has also launched Neon, a mobile marketing platform. Last year, Flytxt had sold its agency assets to Buongiorno (BIT: BNG) for $5.44 Million. The company was launched in 2000, and had raised $2 million in funding from existing investors IVC Venture Capital AG, Gordion Investments and Herald Ventures in 2006. [via release]

Mobile marketing is still in evolving stage but India is a hot market for these Mobile marketing firms, as they won’t get the volume in Europe as compare to India. If operator make the mobile marketing as an open feild then only anything these companies has future...otherwise.....another one bites the dust!
