Fropper To Share 50 Percent Of Adsense Revenue With Bloggers

By Nikhil Pahwa - Tue 12 Feb 2008 10:33 PM PST

Fropper.com, the social networking venture from the People Group, has launched ezMoney, leveraging Google’s (NSDQ: GOOG) Adsense, reports Tech2. Bloggers using Fropper’s blog platform ezBlogs will have to sign up for an AdSense account, and once activated, ads will be displayed on their ezBlog pages. A Fropper spokesperson just confirmed to me Fropper will share 50 percent of the Adsense revenue with users. In that case, why shouldn’t the bloggers sign up at Blogger, and keep all the money? Fropper is positioning ezMoney as an incentive, though it’s actually a means of monetization of the ezBlogs for them. I also noticed that the Fropper blog hasn’t been updated for a year.
Update: The new Fropper blog is here; I was subscribed to the old one. Thanks for the update, Gunjan.

I like the Fropper website and have signed up for Fropper’s ezMoney program. Why should I go to Blogger? My friends are all here! Plus, I didn’t start blogging on Fropper for the money, so this is an added advantage for users like me right? Just my opinion…

Anyways, I don’t think that’s the Fropper blog. Cheers,

    Rishu

Need to make a clarification at this point. The Fropper Blog you visited and have mentioned in your article is the old and redundant one.

The Fropper Blog has indeed been updated as recently as Feb 2008 and here’s the correct link to the blog. Do visit it and comment.

    Thanks

I dont think the aim of Fropper.com in launching ezblogs or for that matter ezmoney was to become ‘THE’ platform for blogging. If I remember correctly ezblogs was launched with the view to help people get initiated into blogging.

Once the users are adept at blogging, and feels that he/she should do it on a professional level or at a level that is much more than ‘just social’, he should move to blogger, typepad, wordpress etc. If he/she wants to be just a casual blogger, Fropper.com is the place to be at.
