India Next Stop For Japan’s NTT DoCoMo?

By Anupama Chandrasekaran - Tue 11 Sep 2007 11:17 PM PST

Japan’s leading mobile phone operator NTT DoCoMo could just be reversing its long-held stance to stay away from the overseas market, according to the Financial Times. The mobile phone operator is apparently seeking to make a sizeable investment in the booming markets of Vietnam, China or India. The company had turned risk-averse after losing $9bn in botched investments six years ago but looks like it is ready to strike back. I wonder if the phone operator will be scouting around for an Indian partner if it decides to enter the Indian market.

    Yaay,
this is the best thing which can happen to Indian Telecom . DoCoMo is the only company in world which has got Mobile Data right
If it decide to partner with an existing indian Telco than ADAG ‘s RIM is the most probable one .  they have some synergy . Rworld can be next imode
