India Serves 345 Million Ad Impressions, Ranks Second: AdMob

A quick stat update from AdMob. 344.7 million impressions were served in May in India making it the no. 2 country by traffic volume after the US. Most ad impressions were text ads, as compared to image ads. As of May, over 2,000 sites in the AdMob network generated traffic from mobile web users in India, covering 40% of their publishers worldwide. Communities sites in aggregate generated 40% of total page views in India; Downloads 27%; Entertainment 15%. Sites which saw high click through rates were those that featured Bollywood, music, or mobile video content.
