Indiagames Acquires Multiple Rights For Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain

Indiagames has acquired rights for mobile, PC and interestingly Interactive Television (DTH and IPTV) rights for Star’s Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain (Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?). The tri-party deal with Bulldog Media, Star TV and Indiagames gives Indiagames the right to publish ancillary content including wallpapers, animations, ringtones, etc. Game DVDs will be pushed via UTV Home Entertainment across retail outlets in the country. Indiagames also plans to setup an arcade style game using malls, youth hangouts and game parlours as touch points. I can completely see kids stealing money to play that. No numbers on the rights acquisition have been mentioned in the release. KAPPSTA has taken a bad beating on TVR’s (as well as the Big B blog entry which also features comparative data) considering another SRK starrer, the Indian Premier League, has literally taken a bat to the head (prime time) of every TV station in town.
