Indiagames To Bring Bioshock To Mobile

By Nikhil Pahwa - Wed 13 Feb 2008 09:25 PM PST

[by Cerius Shah] Rapture! Having completed Bioshock on the boX, this comes as news whose emotional outcome, like global warming (for purpose of reference), is one that lies in deep-seated hope that nobody messes up. Mobile development rights to the fine as wine Ayn-Rand inspired morality splicer slicer dystopian gargantuan, have been brought by Indiagames from Bioshock publisher 2K.

One of the highlights of Bioshock, besides its detailed environments and enlivening gameplay was its use of the customized Unreal 3 engine. While obviously a lot will be lost in hardware regression, it will be interesting to see how the game looks and plays once ported. Bioshock had interesting mini-games built into the main flow which may make for good mobile content. The critically acclaimed titled will be developed by European and Americas market focussed IG Fun, the international mobile publishing and development arm of the UTV, Adobe (NSDQ: ADBE) and Cisco (NSDQ: CSCO) funded Indiagames. No word yet on how much IG has paid for global publishing and distribution rights.
