India’s First Interactive News Channel On Tata Sky?

More on DTH from Indiantelevision.com: According to what looks like a press release, Active Star News on Tata Sky is supposedly India’s first interactive news channel. It’s a premium version of Star News, with simultaneous feeds for News, Headlines, Top Stories and Features/Specials. Addition of the word ‘Active’ to Star News makes it sound like an energy supplement.
Pressing the red button on the remote will allow users to access the digital features of DTH, and select which feed they want to view. But is it the first interactive news channel? A few days ago, Dish TV had announced that it’s Zee News feed will have interactive features. This has become a positioning battle already.
