Industry Moves: Pande Joins Reliance IPTV; Pereira Quits Disney; Ramaraj Joins Sequoia

Aparna Pande, former Zoom TV programming head, has been named IPTV content head for Reliance’s DTH and IPTV division. [via exchange4media] Pande will be handling the programming duties of the new division and will report to Prakash Bajpai, President, Reliance Infocomm, who is heading the DTH and IPTV division for Reliance.
Walt Disney Television International (India)
Walt Disney Television International (India)’s distribution head Kevin Pereira has quit citing (as everybody does) personal reasons. [via exchange4media] At Walt Disney, Pereira was reporting to Senior Vice President and Managing Director Antoine Villeneuve.
Exchange4media quotes a sources as saying, “Pereira is taking a break as his son will be going to Hong Kong for training, and also his wife has not been keeping well. So, we believe that he wants to attend to his family at this point of time.”
Sequoia Capital India
Sify co-founder and ex-CEO R.Ramaraj is set to join Sequoia Capital India as senior advisor. He already serves on the board of Sequoia funded companies like Guruji, Minglebox, DSN and Apnaloan, reports Indiantelevision. His interview on exiting Sify, even if done a year ago, is an interesting read.
