Internet In Small Towns And The Hindi Blogosphere

‘Nineteen-year-old Swati Jha is in her final year of BSc, and is an ardent Internet user. “It’s a wonderful world, and life without the Internet would just be dark, dark and dark,” she says. She has just bagged her first job at a Delhi call-centre through online interviews and telephone conversations with recruiters.’
Tehelka recently published an Internet special issue with a number of rather verbose features. A couple that I found interesting - Internet users in small towns, and one about the Hindi blogosphere, though the latter has an iffy statistic (no source mentioned) about 44 percent of India’s Internet users preferring Hindi to English on the net.
