MSN India To Cash In On Cricket Fever Through MSNCricket.com

It’s a good time to launch a cricket property. MSN India has announced the launch of MSNCricket.com to capitalise on the ICC Cricket World Cup fever. The site will be availabe on WAP supported mobile phones too. A statement said that it will have the World Cup news stories (a given), exclusive columns from Ricky Ponting, Stephen Fleming, Graeme Smith, Mahela Jayawardene, and many others. And the usual stuff like World Cup schedule, team profiles, pitch reports, photo galleries, match previews, live scorecards, and so on.
MSN India has also launched a downloadable Windows Mobile World Cup application where users can get live updates on the matches on GPRS. They have also launched Vista World Cup Sidebar Gadget catering to Windows Vista Users which will provide live score updates and feedback on desktops.
The other large portals with cricket channels are Rediff, and Yahoo India. Besides, there is official Cricket World Cup site
