NDTV Launches NDTVimagine.com; Gets Active On Mobile

[By Cerius Shah] So the General Entertainment Channel wars have begun. NDTV seems to be the flavour of January with the high profile launch and the NBC stake acquisition. The NDTV Imagine site however is a disappointment. It plays only promotional videos and while I am sure they will be looking to add proprietary content soon, it’s definitely nowhere close to being ”organically multimedia seeded”. They have a channel on Youtube, playing out the same promos, doesn’t seem to be an official partner. Nothing much here besides show details and Karan Johar.
On to mobile, NDTV Active, launched in December ‘07, in collaboration with July systems, is the groups mobile property. They have gone the whole nine yards in terms of content but there isn’t much depth to the services. Although its fairly informative, can’t see too many personalization features being offered as touted in the release.
