NDTV Provides Content For SingTel’s mioTV service

By Nikhil Pahwa - Fri 02 Nov 2007 11:26 PM PST

NDTV has struck a deal to provide their news channels - NDTV 24X7 and NDTV Profit - to Singapore based telco SingTel for their pay TV platform ”mio TV”, reports Domain-B. NDTV is targeting the expatriate market. SingTel has plans to launch mioTV on the mobile as well. There was almost nothing on NDTVs digital media initiatives in their recent earnings release, only that they’ve hired a team of 60 professionals for work in mobile, lifestyle, news and entertainment. Digital doesn’t mean to be of much significance, though. The release says “The Company currently operates primarily in a single segment of television media and accordingly, there is no separate reportable segment.”
