NDTV Revamps CricketNDTV.com

By Nikhil Pahwa - Tue 20 Nov 2007 12:21 AM PST

NDTV Convergence has redesigned the groups cricket website - cricketndtv.com. The site has blogs, cricket rankings, opinions, polls, forums, videos, wallpapers etc. Apparently, they’re doing live coverage with ball-by-ball commentary, ala Cricinfo. NDTV Convergence CEO Sanjay Trehan told exchange4media that NDTVMovies will be relaunched by January 2008.

CricketNDTV looks far from finished: I tried to post a blog post, and there was a script error (screencap). The videos aren’t working (screencap). The portal also has an instant message board which stretches across half the length of the index page, and is being used for random comments and soliciting relationships. The site looks ready for another makeover.

This is a very sad site. I can’t believe that NDTV actually put this together and dared put out a release with the CEO saying hajaar things etc. What is the deal - are they trying to follow Web 18?  At least those Web 18 guys do a decent job of each offering.

Very ordinary and uninteresting make over.....what is this chat box doing on the homepage....its like mixing the Popolar Social networking with Cricket.
Trehan, must prove himself as an internet Guru....Cricketnext is way above what NDTV has revamped. Even Indian Express cricket site is better then this cricket.expressindia.com.

Many thanks for the helpful and incisive comments.
Being a new site, there were some technological glitches which have been corrected now.
We are actively listening and striving to improve our product and enrich user experience all the time to be able to provide everything that users expect from NDTV Convergence.
It is feedback such as this that keeps us on our toes and helps us do our job better.
