One97 Communications Appoints Head of Content And Enterprise Sales

One97 Communications, a mobile Value Added Services company, has made some senior level appointments: Himanshu Shukla has joined as Head of Content, while Arvind Gupta has joined as Head of Enterprise Sales. Shukla was Manager Content Alliances with Bharti Telesoft before joining One97, and will be in charge of tie-ups with media broadcasters and movie producers. Gupta was VP and Head of Sales at Air2Web and will be responsible for relationships with telecom operators and enterprise clients. One97 had received funding for SAIF Partners and Silicon Valley bank earlier this year, and a part of this funding is being used for team expansion. They’ve doubled their team in the last year to over 200 people, and expect to have 500 people by the end of this financial year.
