Pyramid Saimira Owned Aurona To Develop Game On Hanuman For PS2

By Nikhil Pahwa - Sun 20 Apr 2008 10:39 PM PST

Pyramid Saimira has informed the BSE that Aurona Technologies, a company that they had acquired earlier this year, has entered into an agreement with Sony (NYSE: SNE) Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) to develop a console game based on Hanuman for the PS2 console platform. Sony will distribute that game in markets outside India as well, and the companies may also develop sequels. The game will be developed in Hyderabad. AnimationXpress.com adds that the game will be an RPG (Role Playing Game), which will be released in late 2008. It will target gamers between 6 and 16. I wonder if this was a part of the deal at the time PS had aquired Aurona. Aurona also has the IP of a location based mobile social networking community.
