Reuters Launches Web and Mobile Sites

Azhar Rafee, Reuters Asia’s EVP of Media had told Contentsutra this in an interview a couple of months, and now the official announcement: the company has launched an ad-supported site for India, and a mobile site. I just tried the site, and there isn’t much South Asian content - nothing in the tech page, pictures, though the Business page has a lot of Indian content; they’re primarily targeting South Asian business professionals, as per General Manager (India) SN Bhaduri.
As per the release, the site integrates blogs from across India via the Pluck blog network, but I couldn’t find any Indian blogs on the site. Video content will be from Reuters and it’s partner Times NOW. Reuters has similar online and mobile sites for the US, UK, Japan, Africa and China. Greg Beitchman has been appointed editor of Reuters India Consumer Media.
