Sify’s V. ChandraMouli To join AutoIndia.com as CEO

Binu TG, co-founder of auto classifieds website AutoIndia.com informs us that V. Chandramouli is joining the portal as CEO. Chandramouli has put in his papers at Sify, where he was heading Consumer Channels, Content and the Education vertical. His mandate at AutoIndia will be do develop channel parterships and monetize the domain. Chandramouli has 19 years of experience, held various positions with NIIT between 1991 and 2006. He had joined Sify in June last year.
AutoIndia currently has 26 people across six offices in India, in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Cochin, and two in Trivandrum. The company’s headquarters is moving from Trivandrum to Chennai, where Chandramouli will operate out of. Binu says that the site currently has around 26,000 listings, and gets around 1.45 million unique visitors a month. Revenue primarily comes from dealer advertising, and finance and insurance lead generation from the site. Others in the same space include Carwale, in which Seedfund has picked up 30 percent stake, Indimoto, DriveInside, IndiaAutomobile (Bharatmatrimony Group)AutomartIndia, Bharatautomobiles.
