Sony Cuts PS2 Prices In India

By Nikhil Pahwa - Mon 27 Aug 2007 02:39 AM PST

Sony India has cut prices of its PlayStation 2 console, which will now retail at Rs. 6990, reports Techgadgets. This allows the company to target a segment that can’t yet afford the others: xBox 360 core (Rs. 19900), xBox 360 (Rs. 23990), xBox 360 Elite (Rs. 34990), and the PS3 (Rs. Rs 39990). I can’t help but notice the gap between the PS2 and xBox 360 core. Surely there’s a market there between Rs. 6990 and Rs. 19900.

I wonder when Nintendo intends to launch the Wii in India.
