TinselVision Links Up With Star India For Web Service

TinselVision, a broadband Internet, video-on-demand service targeting South Asian communities in the US, UK and Canada, and TV broadcaster, News Corp.’s (NYSE: NWS) STAR India, struck a content licensing and online distribution alliance to deliver STAR television programming globally via TinselVision’s web video service. [via release] The deal gives TinselVision rights to distribute, via its online service, broadcast and archival production content ranging from Bollywood films to contemporary Indian television shows.
This is TinselVision’s second major broadcaster alliance, the first being with Zee TV. The company plans to strike similar deals with other content providers soon.
