Tips Pairs Up With YouTube For Bollywood Channel, No Revenue Sharing Deal

By Anupama Chandrasekaran - Thu 24 May 2007 02:48 AM PST

Just a few days after Bollywood producer Eros International’s move, comes news that music company Tips Music is also setting up its channel on Google’s video-sharing Web site YouTube. But businessofcinema.com reports that unlike the Eros deal, Tips doesn’t have a revenue sharing agreement with YouTube. Now, that’s really strange. The article goes on to say that Tips will be using the channel, which can be accessed here, only to promote new and upcoming film trailers, songs and music videos. Eros on the other hand announced that its YouTube partnership will help it earn advertising revenue as well.
Wonder if T-Series executives are scratching their heads about the legal notice they sent to Google earlier this year regarding the presence of copyrighted content on YouTube. Waits to be seen if T-Series changes its song as its rivals see YouTube more as an opportunity and less of a threat.

Hmmmmmmmm as for Tseries or hungama who ever has the digital rights on the internet platform cool

they have a platform for juke box which is ok ... but they should provide the content to other platforms also and make more money ....

simply if u see every body has different choices some use Yahoo some use Hotmail aol has not worked in India so you need to retail the content

i really appreciate Moser Baer ‘s strategy entering in the market 32 for a DVD and 28 for a VCD HARD CORE RETAILING ... on the internet platform nothing is exclusive everything is available but people whho want to do things legal face more problems then anybody

there is no price war for them there is only fight against Free content

there is some funny comments made by soundbuzz.com Rs 25 per song hahahahahahahaha
a full movie is available at Rs 28 a song at Rs. 25 they should check think again i must say if somebody lands up again as moser baer in the music industry kiya hoga ....

But i have do respect one person even today Mr Gulshan Kumar he actually came out with retailing the same strategy is being used by Moser Baer but i have not been able to understand why t series did not ......

    i Salute that Man
