TV CEOs Musical Chairs: Lulla - Miditech-Turner JV; Guha To ADAG?

By Nikhil Pahwa - Tue 12 Feb 2008 06:55 AM PST

[by Cerius Shah] Sunil Lulla, the former CEO of Times Global Broadcasting has joined Alva brothers, as a director on board for the launch of a General entertainment channel as part of the Turner-Miditech JV. Lulla will be group CEO across subsidaries. We’d reported the likelihood of Lulla joining the Turner-Miditech JV, and this Mint story confirms it. Lulla will also hold stake in the new venture.

Nikhil adds: As more and more channels come up, the TV CEOs are playing musical chairs. Ex-India TV CEO Chintamani Rao will replace Lulla. Now Mint reports that Pradeep Guha, CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) is likely not the renew his contract with the co, and will head the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s television venture. Reliance Entertainment President Rajesh Sawhney has declined to comment on that move, though.
