UTV To Debut Two Movies Online

UTV, after releasing few movies in an exclusive deal with Rajshri, has now decided to go broader: it has tied up with three Indian portal, Rajshri.com, Bigflicks.com, and Indyaondemand.com, to debut two of its movies. The two movies are Vikram Bhatt directed Fear, which premieres on August 10, and Vishal Bhardwaj’s The Blue Umbrella, on the same date.
Pricing: $9.99 for a standard download and $19.99 for a high-res download. This is targeted at audiences in US, UK, South East Asia and the Middle East. Both movies will be available for permanent downloads (to own), not the usual 772-hour downloads. Some other UTV films available online include: Swades, Rang De Basanti, Taxi No 9 2 11, Bluffmaster, Chup Chup Ke, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Hattrick and Life in a Metro. More here.
