Viacom 18 Snags Zee Programming Head As Content Head

Viacom and TV18 new JV Viacom-18 has snagged its first big executive: Zee TV’s programming SVP Ashwini Yardi is joining V18 as Head of Content and Creative, reports E4M. In her new role, Yardi will drive the content for this channel and is expected to build the programming team.
The JV was announced in May, and Viacom is contributing its channels in India - MTV, Nickleodeon and VH1, alongwith some capital to the venture, while TV-18 is transferring Studio18, it’s production, distribution, home video and music co to the JV. The new venturewill include film, TV and digital media content across all its brands.
