Video Ad Serving Co Jivox Launches India Operations

Jivox, a California based self-service online video advertising platform has announced the launch of its Indian operations, based out of Bangalore. Naren Nachiappan, formerly a VP and General Manager at NASDAQ listed Wind River has been appointed MD for India. The Bangalore centre will house a sales and development office. Jivox is planning to launch its video advertising service for India. Around a week ago, Jivox had announced a $2.7 million seed funding led by Opus Capital. Basically, Jivox allows small business owners to create video ads using their ‘Adslate’, and then places the ad in its video ad network. I’ve always found video ads to be irritating, particularly given the limited bandwidth we have. But a tool for creating your own virals should be interesting.
