Webby Nominations Announced; We’re On The List

Funny thing about awards: we diss them publicly all the time, but as soon we get nominated, we become an award whore (well, more specifically me). This time it is the Webby, so I think it is justified. The nominations were announced today, and we’re (our site paidContent.org) among the five in the Best Blog: Business category along with some other great names like TechDirt and Dealbook (by NYTimes.com).
There’s the judges award and then there’s the people’s choice award...we won’t win the latter one (Techdirt will), but no harm in trying...you can go here and vote if you like. The winners will be announced on June 5th.
Meanwhile, some interesting additions to the main list and good to see a new mobile category, with Yahoo, Reuters, Thumbplay and other nominated in various sub-categories there. Also, they have added a original video awards category; again some good names. Full list here.
