Website For MJ Akbar’s Magazine Covert Launched

By Nikhil Pahwa - Mon 19 May 2008 12:19 AM PST

-- A website has been launched for Covert, the fortnightly magazine from former Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle Editor-in-Chief MJ Akbar, reports PressTalk. The 72 page magazine hit the stands last Wednesday, and features columnists like former finance minister Yashwant Sinha, former Rajya Sabha MP and columnist Kuldip Nayar, adman Suhel Seth, former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Joginder Singh and activist Teesta Setalvad. The website for Covert appears to be rather archaic, and is probably under development (the about-us page is a dead-link)

Akbar, who had founded the Asian Age in 1994, had also been the founding editor of The Telegraph and magazine Sunday. His exit from the Asian Age was not all-together pleasant, as is evident from this article at Exchange4media. He also has a blog, here, written by Ilaxi, “the official blogger for MJ Akbar”.
