Yahoo’s Jagran Site Is Live

I just noticed that Yahoo India’s Hindi portal with Jagran has gone live. The site contains content from 14 Indian states: Bihar, Delhi, Chhatisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Punjab, West Bengal, Rajashtan, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh. There’s a photos page, with segments. However, search remains in English. It had been reported that they’re expecting revenues of Rs. 8 crores from this initiative, which will be shared between Yahoo and Jagran.
It appears that there is much more Hindi content at Jagran.com...the Jagran logo is different for both sites. At Yahoo’s Jagran page, links to Yahoo Mail, Answers, Mail link to, of course, English pages.
