YOU Telecom Acquires ISP IceNet

YOU Telecom has acquired Ahmedabad based ISP IceNet for an undisclosed amount, reports the Economic Times. As per YOU Telecom CEO EVS Chakravarthy, the acquisition will help the ISP consolidate its reach in Ahmedabad, Baroda and Rajkot, and also enhance their last mile access. IceNet subscribers will be migrated to the YOU Telecom network. IceNet has a presence in the corporate sector, and also provides VoIP solutions.
YOU Telecom is owned by Citigroup, and BCCL had recently acquired a 5 percent stake in the company.
