Deccan Herald’s Jobs Portal Is Live

Deccan Herald’s jobs portal DHAvenues is live, but still under development. I spoke to D.B. Dutta, VP Marketing and Circulation, Deccan Herald Group about their plans. For starters, they’re looking to port jobs from their newspaper to the website. For a short period of time, they have allowed consultants to post jobs on the site for free, and will subsequently offer listing of jobs on subscription. He feels that there is room for more job portals in the market, and especially since they can do cross promotions. A marketing campaign is planned, but first they need to finish developing the site. I’m just wondering if there’s anyone considering a niche jobs portal, like one only for BPO where the attrition rates are infamously high.
