Mobile ESPN Nabs India Rights To Wimbledon

Now, Indian tennis fans can get rain, racquets and strawberries and cream on their mobiles. ESPN STAR Sports has won Wimbledon mobile rights for India. The service can be availed by dialing 505-ESPN (3776) on the phone or by sending an SMS to 3776 and GPRS users can access the services on www.mobilespn.in. Mobile ESPN will aggregate a Wimbledon 2007 zone on the WAP portals of all the leading telcos in India including Airtel, Hutch, Idea, and BSNL, the release said. Wimbledon content will also available to R-World and Tata Indicom users. Users can download unlimited content at a rental of Rs.99 from the zone or pay per download. [via release]
