Percept Picture Plans Sequel For Its Animated Film “Hanuman”

Exchange4media.com: Hanuman (name of a Hindu god) is India’s first full length animated feature film. Released in October last year, the film was a huge success grossing about Rs 15 crore ($3.3 million). Now its producer - Percept Picture Company (PPC) - is planning a sequel called Hanuman 2. PPC is joining hands with Toonz Animation India for the sequel (the part 1 was produced in association with Silvertoons).
The sequel will be made with a combination of 2D and 3D. Hanuman 2 will see an investment of Rs 9 crore ($2 million) and is targeting a 2007 festival season release.
