Walt Disney Plans Digital Content Initiatives In India

The Financial Express: The Walt Disney Company, which ventured into India a little more than a year ago with kids channels Toon Disney and The Disney Channel, plans digital content initiatives such as mobile content, gaming and IPTV-related services. -€œWorldwide, we are available on the mobile, broadband and IPTV platforms. It is a logical extension for us,-€ T.N Prabhu, head of new media initiatives at Walt Disney India, told FE. Initially, the company will focus on mobile content like ringtones, wallpapers, graphics, and games of popular Disney characters.
Prabhu, formerly with Rediff and Indiatimes, was hired last year as the head of Disney’s digital content division.
